Dr. Oliver Completes Advanced Equine Dentistry Training at Colorado State University

This month, Dr. Allison Oliver traveled to the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital to participate in an intensive, two-day equine dentistry course focused on advanced intraoral cheek tooth extraction techniques. This training brings new skills and updated best practices directly to the horses we care for across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Why Advanced Equine Dentistry Training Matters

Equine dentistry plays a major role in a horse’s comfort, performance, and long-term health. When horses develop fractured teeth, infected roots, or advanced dental disease, proper extraction requires technique, precision, and the right tools.
